Over that past few years, foreclosures have swept over the Chicago region. To stem this rising tide of board-ups, the city and the suburbs both applied for federal funding to rehabilitate foreclosed homes. However, the suburbs were denied foreclosure aid as Chicago got millions. Here we see how the city is turning these federal dollars into livable homes.
