Daniel Libit came to the News Cooperative from POLITICO, where he wrote about Congress and national politics. Prior to that, he was an assistant editor at Milwaukee Magazine. He has written magazine pieces on everything from basketball coaches to pandas and his work has been acknowledged by the Milwaukee Press Club, the Associated Press Sports Editors, the Cincinnati Society of Professional Journalists, and the anthology Best American Sportswriting 2005. He has appeared on various television and radio outlets, including MSNBC, CNN, BBC, XM POTUS and NPR. Libit will be covering former Gov. Rod Blagojevich’s political corruption trial for the CNC.
