Now, when millions of Americans are at risk of losing their jobs, of being unable to afford health insurance, of having nothing for retirement? Unions remain one of the most democratic institutions in the world. Workers come together to defend their livelihoods; they vote for their officers, they bargain for better wages and benefits, they secure their health insurance and pensions so they don't have to question their futures. Stories such as these are needed, now more than ever. How can a majority of Americans now say that unions are bad for America? Now, when millions of Americans are at risk of losing their jobs, of being unable to afford health insurance, of having nothing for retirement?
