FBI Plans Release of Rostenkowski Files

The requests keep pouring in for the FBI files of the late Congressman Dan Rostenkowski following his death on August 11.

Jay Carter, a staffer with the FBI’s Records Management Division, said that he has been surprised by the number of requests that have come into the bureau seeking the files on Rostenkowski, the former chairman of the influential House Ways and Means Committee who served nearly 15 months in prison after pleading guilty to mail fraud charges relating to the Congressional Post Office scandal.

Carter said that due to the number of the requests, the FBI is planning on releasing the records – which include death threats made against the powerful North Side Democrat – on its website within the next few months.

Can’t the dead just rest in peace? Infomania is pathological in the good ole USA.
