Jerry Kroll, the man who appeared before the Dirksen federal building with hair that looked like a Rod Blagojevich halloween wig, said he has long worn his hair that way, but his publicity photo and a photo of him on a widely followed movie Web site indicates a different story.
In his Web site photo, Kroll bears no obvious resemblance to the former Illinois governor who still awaits a verdict after nine days of jury deliberations in his federal corruption trial. Another photo on the Internet Movie Database shows Kroll with close-cropped hair.
The Santa Barbara man, who according to the movie Web site has had small parts in three minor films, told reporters that people have begun approaching him on the street and asking for autographs. His hair elaborately coiffed in the fashion of Blagojevich’s trademark hairdo, Kroll also claimed he long has worn his hair in this manner.
Kroll also said he has developed some sympathy for the accused former governor. But he did not comment on whether–in flying cross country for the acknowledged purpose of standing in front of television cameras–he has begun acting like the former governor, too.
