All three major networks took on the Rod Blagojevich verdict this morning.
During an interview with jury foreman James Matsumoto On NBC’s “Today Show,” host Meredith Viera cited unnamed sources in claiming that the one hold-out juror on several of the counts was a retired woman.
Matsumoto reiterated statements he made yesterday, saying that the government’s major flaw in the case was its complexity.

In the event of a retrial, Matsumoto said prosecutors would try to “streamline the case, concentrate on areas where they had more information and not rely so much on witness testimony, which was sometimes weak.”
Matsumoto also said that jurors were confused by the length of the jury instructions.
On ABC’s “Good Morning America,” juror Erik Sarnello complimented the former governor.
“I went into this not knowing anything about him at all, and as a person I kind of liked him,” Sarnello said. “He’s kind of funny. My favorite line of his was, ‘I may be crazy but I’m not nuts.’” Sarnello was referring to a statement Blagojevich had made in a wiretapped telephone conversation that was played for jurors.”
Blagojevich’s attorney Aaron Goldstein told CBS’s “The Early Show” that the defense team feels “great.”
Responding to a question about an 11-1 juror split on the count involving the U.S. Senate seat, Goldstein said, “On all the other counts there was a much stronger split, and what is interesting was they didn’t talk about numbers at all on any of the other counts, so I think we are missing a lot of the story in exaclty what was the breakdown in all these other counts.”

I don’t think he is anymore guilty than the rest of the Chicago pols and the entire Senate and
house for that matter. Don’t waste anymore money on what you think is an easy case. Spend your time cleaning up the mess n Chicago, people are dying on the streets….Come on.
